  4.            Welcome to Rand's Tournament Organizer!

  6.      Rand's Tournament Organizer is a database program
  7. written for corporations, charities and professional
  8. tournament managers.  It allows the user to design golf
  9. tournaments, enter players, build the pairings lists, input
  10. scores, and print out player standings.
  11.  
  12.      Rand's Tournament Organizer had its origins in the late
  13. 1980's as a single purpose program written to maintain
  14. scores and provide statistics for a number of professional
  15. golf tournaments.  Out of this, and out of several
  16. iterations of computer programs designed to run tournaments
  17. for golf leagues, came a system focused on the corporate and
  18. commercial tournament organizer.

  27.      Rand's Tournament Organizer is a full-featured tournament
  28. management system containing the following features:

  30.      1.   Maintains several 1 to 4 day tournaments, at the same
  31.           time, all in different stages of development.

  33.      2.   Handles tournaments for up to 9999 players and/or teams
  34.           in each tournament.

  36.      3.   Does handicap, no handicap, percent handicap, Callaway,
  37.           Hidden Callaway and Stableford style tournaments.

  39.      4.   Builds, edits and prints out pairings lists in a
  40.           variety of different orders including Shotgun Starts while
  41.           allowing for twosomes right up to sixsomes tee-off groups.
